Silicon Valley Family seeks an Estate Gardener with two green thumbs!

The right candidate will be someone with a strong background in vegetable growing and gardening. Must be knowledgeable with Integrated Pest Management. It would be a huge plus to also understand irrigation systems, but not required.

In addition to growing the veggies, this job will also include basic mow and blow yard and landscaping maintenance. There is some existing landscaping they would like to remove in order to put in more fruit trees. Help them reach their landscaping and happy garden goals!  

The hours are very flexible, the gardener can begin early in the morning with anything except the lawnmower or blower. If desired, could start early with the gardening of pulling weeds or planting and then towards later morning they can begin with the actual mowing of the lawn.  The right fit will be someone with a strong work ethic, who is passionate about caring for the garden and yard.  

Family have already established great nursery connections and have extra hands who can come in to assist with more labor-intensive projects.  

This is a part-time position with 20 hours per week guaranteed. However, family has a contact who is also seeking a part-time gardener, so the jobs could be combined for full time work!

2 weeks’ vacation and benefits will be offered. Seeking local candidates or those who can be hired on as locals (no offer for relocation provided)
