FORMAL RESIDENCE IN BEL AIR SEEKS FULL TIME, PERMANENT CHEF/HOUSE MANAGER, LOCAL IN LOS ANGELES, CA

Lovely formal household in Los Angeles, CA is in need of a Chef/House Manager to cook and manage the household both when family are present, and during their travels. You will be expected to travel at times – one to two weeks to various domestic locations where family have other homes.

The Chef will have a strong familiarity in cooking healthy Keto cuisines (healthy proteins, fats, no sugar and no carbs). Preparing lunches and dinners for the family (sometimes only 2 people -sometimes up to 20).  Chef must be well versed in cooking for intimate and larger groups with ease.

Kitchen is a spacious area designed for a Chef. Menus will be planned out with principals. You will have experience with entertaining, supporting service for large parties, fine dining knowledge, wine pairings, seasonal menu planning and a wide range palate. The kitchen and household are well for the Chef. Shopping at Farmer’s Markets and the use of only fresh and healthy ingredients, usual items may be shopped at Erewhon, and usage of family’s meat and fish vendor information will be provided.

Dinner will need to be prepared and served by 7:30 PM. Chef will do light cleanup of kitchen. The housekeeping staff will assist with the removal of plates and after dinner clean up. Cooking on holidays will most likely be required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, unless family are traveling).

Chef/House Manager will help with ordering of all kitchen goods (pantry needs, stocking, etc.), household inventory, keeping the guest house stocked to advance guests, oversee the housekeeping staff and assisting the Estate Manager with shipping and receiving or other as needed tasks.  Must be open to helping if there is downtime with ordering or other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Chief of Staff. You will have a car to run shopping errands.

Understanding of a formal household preferred. This is a staffed home.

Have a thorough knowledge of all markets and where to shop (Erewhon, Lassens, Whole Foods, fresh farmer markets, etc.). In addition, an awareness of the newest restaurants and their menus (in case clients want you to reproduce a meal), around the greater Los Angeles/Malibu areas.

Location: Bel Air, CA

Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend flexibility, and after hours on occasion

Salary: DOE, please provide your daily rate when responding, along with providing food photos and resume
