PRIVATE IT ENGINEER NEEDED – MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL WITHIN US AND GLOBALLY

Our private clients are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Engineer. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support and consultancy services to high-profile executives, primarily focused on Apple products and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Apple devices, extensive executive support experience, media expertise, Creston home systems, and excellent networking skills.

You must reside in the US (and be a US citizen with verifiable references). Our clients require a candidate willing to travel very frequently to Texas and abroad to their other properties. Principals need an Apple guru, with private/executive support for very high-level services. An Apple/IT consultant, and any media experience is a very big plus! Someone who has experience working in high-profile or UHNW estates doing extensive IT work is ideal.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a high-level technology consultant and support specialist for VIP clients, providing executive-level support for Apple products and IT-related issues
  • Provide concierge-like services, directly assisting clients with a wide range of technology needs, from simple phone troubleshooting to managing intricate SMART home systems
  • Maintain and manage personal devices, Apple TV, and other Apple products for clients
  • Assist in setting up and optimizing Wi-Fi networks, including providing support for remote properties
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication between the home environment and broader IT infrastructure
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices relevant to executive support and personal devices
  • Proactively research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential implementation
  • Support mobile devices and troubleshoot any related issues
  • Work with vendors to select, procure, and implement IT-related items, including personal devices and special IT projects
  • Familiarity with home and office automation systems, such as Crestron and security systems
  • Manage mobility services for ownership and executives, including coordination for overseas travel when necessary
  • Install and provide ongoing support for audio-visual systems, including cable, satellite, TV providers, sound systems, Apple TV, and Crestron systems
  • Handle purchasing responsibilities for IT-related items due to the high level of supported individuals
  • Maintain data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Gather IT project requirements, coordinate resources, and present proposals for approval
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, to provide clear and concise instructions and support to clients
  • Manage personal vendor accounts for ownership and executives, including coordination at various residences or properties
  • Possess general knowledge and aptitude for various technologies, such as cameras, radio players, drones, etc.
  • Utilize mapping/design software, such as Visio, for project implementation and documentation
  • Be available for travel to remote sites and provide residential support as required

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related IT field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on executive support and Apple technologies
  • Extensive knowledge of Apple products, including hardware, software, and gadgets
  • Strong understanding of IT security and data privacy practices
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently, respond quickly to requests, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overseas travel, and always possess a valid passport
  • Familiarity with home and office automation systems, such as Crestron, is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in using Visio or other mapping/design software is a plus
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Location: Can be located anywhere in the US with frequent travel required

Contract Length: Full-time/permanent

Schedule: Schedule to be discussed, must have flexibility for weekends, holidays, and after-hours emergencies

Salary:  Competitive/DOE, plus bonus and benefits.
