Amazing opportunity for experienced, kind natured House Manager/Personal Assistant who is also a Canadian citizen to support UHNW principal

This is a family oriented principal who frequently has family, guests and visitors. The house manager/personal assistant will be a vital part to making sure the homes are always guest ready and well maintained without needing a lot of direction. Must be able to proactively identify what needs doing and be able to get it done efficiently.

In this role, you will:

• Manage two properties: Vancouver and nearby island home
• Be the property’s eyes and ears, making note of anything requiring attention or repair, and effectively communicating with owner, including taking photos, providing lists, daily checks
• Sourcing and managing all outside vendors, comparing quotes, and supervising as needed
• Attend to any urgent needs or emergencies on the property
• Have a good working knowledge of the house systems: lighting, doors, pool system and sprinklers;
• Assist principal in the kitchen-cooking and meal prep
• Managing trades and contractors (gardeners, household projects, etc) and to ensure the work is completed
• Shopping for food, supplies, running errands and other requested items
• Caring for the friendly and sweet family dog including pet sitting when principal travels
• Maintaining vehicles, maintenance records
• Helping the housekeepers with keeping the kitchen neat and tidy
• Prepare home for family and guest

The right candidate will:

• Have a proactive mind, by being aware of the principal’s needs without being told
• Be friendly but not overly familiar as principal appreciates a professional boundary
• Must drive, with valid license and clean driving record
• Tech savvy to assist with home IT issues.
• Meticulous list making with amazing follow through
• Flexible to work evenings or weekends if emergency comes up
• No ego, willing to be hands-on with cleaning and tiding, interior and exterior, when needed
• Must have Canadian citizenship or work authorization; prefer local Canadian hires

Salary DOE

We are seeking local Vancover/BC candidates for this position only, no relocation is offered. Open to candidates who are returning to B.C.
