Seeking a very hands-on housekeeper with personal assistant and home management experience for a family in the Malibu canyon area.

Our client is in need of a meticulous, detailed housekeeper who will provide organizing, laundry and some light ironing, errands, speaking with vendors, keeping visuals on the property on a daily basis for any upkeep/maintenance needs. You will call vendors and share bids with the principal for service needs, run errands and provision the residence with all shopping and stocking. The Executive Housekeeper will have good computer skills and ability to order online, do research for products, make appointments and other ad-hoc duties. A keen eye for minutiae is important for our European clients however, they like a relaxed atmosphere – informal – but attention to detail should not be missed. Tidy, everything put back in its place, stocked and ready for the principals and their guests. This is not a very large home (5000sf) but does require loving care.

Ability to assist on weekends if needed, and a flexible schedule are appreciated by this client. As clients travel often, they will entrust the house to you to care for. Clients travel sometimes 2 weeks to 2 months, you will be responsible for making sure all vendors show up to spray for ants or do gardening, opening mail and responding or sending bills to clients when they are traveling. Some housesitting may be needed on occasion. Family has one child and one dog (dog always travels with them).

The ideal candidate will develop a relationship with the principal and begin to think ahead of what may be requested, (hair appointment when arriving back from travel or a massage if you overhear, they are talking about it), ordering food from their favorite restaurant or making sure family have all that they need before leaving for the day.

This position is Monday-Friday with some weekend needs, but a flexible, open schedule and someone who is comfortable with quick schedule changes will work best for this family.

Salary $35+ per hour DOE

Must drive and have your own vehicle
