LOS ALTOS NANNY FOR 3 CHILDREN, RIE / REGGIO EMILIA A PLUS!

We are seeking a ROTA Nanny to work 1 week on/off starting midday on Tuesdays and ending midday on Tuesdays. This job is based in Los Altos CA, and family would strongly prefer a local candidate to the San Fransisco/Bay Area as the other nanny is not local.

There are three (3) children: boy 6, boy 4, girl 2. The eldest two are in full time school. The youngest is about to start a preschool program part time and the Mom is very involved with her children and has strong opinions about how children are raised.

The Mom is keen to find someone RIE trained or who otherwise very strongly respects children and views them as whole people, valuing their feelings and listening to them and dismissing their emotions. We are looking for someone who can build a strong, loving bond with the children. Someone with self-awareness who can talk to the Mom about how to handle situations and flex their approach.

You are intelligent, flexible, very proactive and you don’t drop the ball.

The Mom works an executive job and needs someone who is reliable, willing to pitch in around the house, willing to do some assistant work while kids are at school, cook the odd dinner on weekends etc. (There is a full time housekeeper who cooks dinner during the week and Mom likes to cook on weekends).

Ideally, someone who has experience with demanding roles in the past, including sole charge with multiple kids. Mom is NOT demanding but occasionally needs to travel and leave the kids with the nanny for some number of days.

Family have very close relationships with previous nannies and consider them part of the family (those nannies are only unable to continue working with them due to the family moving internationally to the US).

Contract Length: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

Children: 3, 2 boys aged 6 and 4. and one girl who is 2

Working Days: One week on, One week off (Tuesday to Tuesday)
Working Hours: Tuesday 12 PM to Tuesday 12 PM

Accommodation: Live in one week/ Live out the next

Salary: $120k, health care and phone stipend.
