LIVE-IN COUPLE OR INDIVIDUAL COMPANION FOR ACTIVE SENIOR – TRAVEL TO 3 PROPERTIES-FL/MA/OH

Our very active 86-year-old client is seeking a long-term live-in couple or an individual companion with some minor caretaking responsibilities. Client has suffered a stroke, has Aspirating Pneumonia, requires setting up meds in am/pm, monitor shower time and stay close by (shower/tub grab bars are setup), aid with personal care. She uses a walker and is very active and plans to stop using her walker at some point as she is doing physical therapy to get her strength back.

The perfect candidate(s) would be very comfortable and able to hold a professional line with the principal, great with communications, assisting an older client who may need additional help as needed.

The companion(s) will be assisting with travel across three (3) residences in Boca Grande, Florida in the winter for 6 weeks, Nantucket, Massachusetts in the summer, and Troy, Ohio. The Ohio residence is a large/main home.

Must love dogs as the client has two Norwich terriers who are very strong willed. They are crated in principal’s room mostly, but caretaker(s) must be willing to do pet care as needed.

Couple/individual will assist with driving (principal will provide vehicle), run errands, do laundry, make beds and change linens, grocery shop, and do the cooking. Principal preferers traditional food such as meat, potatoes, and vegetables, a menu can be created with the client. There is a Housekeeper at each residence, but light tidying up would be needed.

Client has a big family, who visit often and are very social with her. The companion(s) should have a friendly personality, engage with the family and friends but on a professional level at all times. Client is very social and has a lot of friends. Likes to engage with her neighbors. Principal is very kind-hearted, strong willed, but can be direct with her communications.

Contract Length: Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: 40+ hours a week
