INFANT AND TODDLER NANNY FOR HIGH PROFILE ENTERTAINMENT FAMILY-LOS ANGELES

We have a very busy family in need of an experienced infant and toddler Nanny in Los Angeles, CA for their 2 (two) children. Both parents are in the entertainment industry and need someone who is flexible, adaptable, and will be okay with the mom and extended family being present at times. During times when family are visiting with the children, the Nanny would help with other ad-hoc duties (child related). Nanny should be good with switching responsibilities and changing gears quickly.

They would like a Nanny with a strong EQ who can practice developmental activities with the toddler; they do not subscribe to any particular methodology, but want the Nanny to talk through all emotions, calming down, support of emotions and allowing the child to go through their experiences, talking it out with the toddler. Help create and maintain the child’s boundaries; offer explanations, give the child choices, and redirect the child’s behavior. High profile experience preferred, and previous toddler and infant experience is a must.

This is a Monday through Friday position from 11 AM to 7 PM. Duties will include the prep/serving of lunch for the toddler, put children down for nap time, prep/serve dinner, and get the children ready for bed. Keep the children’s rooms tidy, help with their laundry, clean up toys and areas children have been using, and generally assist with smaller duties to assist Mom. The family prefers someone who is comfortable in the kitchen, and although it is not mandatory, they would like the Nanny to cook a little extra for the parents. No Chef skills required, just simple meals the Nanny is comfortable enough to make or follow recipes.

The Nanny must have a valid driver’s license and a dependable car to run errands, if necessary, drive children to the park, or take children to other activities. Clear driving record and background check are required. There is no travel involved.

The Nanny needs to have upbeat, good energy, understand emotions, imaginative/creative, come up with fun activities, and someone who is good with distractions to help re-direct behavior. Energetic, fun and playful.

Must speak, read, write fluently in English.

Start Date: Hiring Immediately

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 11 AM-7 PM

Salary:  $25-$35 per hour DOE

Must pass full background and reference check
