HOUSEMAN WITH HANDYMAN SKILLS FOR LARGE PROPERTY IN HANCOCK PARK

Family with 11ksf estate in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Houseman with ability to do both Houseman and Handyman (proficient level) skills.

The Houseman needs to have a Handyman background and knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and repairs, ability to assess issues, and if you cannot fix it yourself, explaining to Estate Manager what needs to be done and what type of service provider should be called to do the repairs. You will then shadow the vendor and oversee their work.

Duties will include but not limited to: exterior cleaning of all stone. There is vast limestone around the property that would need to be power washed and maintained. Ensuring it is free from water stains and sun damage. Prior knowledge would be ideal or willing to learn how to care for limestone is a plus. Exterior cleaning of outdoor furniture, chandeliers, cleaning gates, cleaning hot tub cover and other outdoor furniture covers, window washing inside and out. Lightbulb checks and replacement inside and out, changing air-filters, cleaning vehicles, running showers regularly, clearing debris and garbage, taking out garbage cans, and shadowing vendors. Other ad-hoc duties as needed. An eye for detail, and excellent follow through required. Creating punch lists and managing the lists to ensure you are completing tasks. This position reports to the Estate Manager and assists the housekeeping team with bigger items.

Salary: $40-$45 per hour DOE
