FORMAL HOUSEKEEPER NEEDED FOR PALM BEACH FAMILY – HIRING ASAP!

Our clients in Palm Beach, FL are seeking a highly skilled Housekeeper for their 20 sq ft estate; the estate has 7 bedrooms and an attached guest cottage. This is a fully staffed home (Chef, Estate Manager, etc.). The Housekeeper will report to the Executive Housekeeper.

This is a formal household, attention to detail is imperative. Paying attention to the arrangement of pillows on the couch with the zipper facing down, cleaning ceiling fans, folding the toilet paper, checking that waters are in the guest fridges in each room and hand soap is full; providing proper turn down service is the kind of detail this household expects. Experience with caring for fine furnishings, polishing silver, and antiques. High level laundry skills, caring for fine fabrics and wardrobes; spot treating garments, pressing/steaming linen, and understanding of which clothing needs to be sent off to the dry cleaners. When cleaning, the Housekeeper must understand what kinds of oils and cleaning supplies are used on each surface (wood, tile, marble, rugs, etc.).

Our clients are looking for a Housekeeper who has experience with a high level of formal serving. Assisting the Chef, plating, setting up the table, serving, and greeting guests. Cooking experience is preferred, as you may be asked to make breakfast when chef is not present; when Chef is working, you will be in the kitchen assisting with prep. Running errands and grocery shopping will be needed to stay on top of stocking the kitchen.

Additional helpful skills are: awareness, knowing when to provide absent service (leaving the room to clean elsewhere when principals enter the room), doing a second “sweep” of rooms after principals or guests leave to ensure all is in proper order, knowing how to properly manage your workload with timing and precision, being sensitive to principals as they are in the house during the day and you will need to work around their schedules in the master suites and upstairs areas.

Working days and hours are Monday through Friday either 10 AM-6 PM or 11 AM-7 PM with weekend flexibility when the family is entertaining

Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Drive. Able to text or keep inventory lists.

Location:  Palm Beach, FL

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday from 10 AM-6 PM or from 11 AM-7 PM

Salary: $35 per hour and medical benefits offered

Must pass full background and reference check.
