Domestic Services Leader, fine dining experience, for private family

Our clients are looking for a strong Domestic Services Leader who understands service and hands-on leadership. You will be responsible for supervising, training, and developing the housekeepers and maintenance team to ensure the home is run like a five-star hotel. This position entails cleaning responsibilities and a thorough understanding of hospitality service. You will be overseeing a team of housekeepers and maintenance staff across multiple residences in the West Michigan area.

In this position you will be responsible for coaching and training of staff, liaising with the Chef, be the point of contact for all interior operations, and coordination/reporting of seasonal cleaning and housekeeping projects. You will assist with the daily cleaning and laundress duties. The cleaning entails laundry/ironing, organization, changing out linens to be laundered, and Inventory/stocking of the home.

You must have knowledge of running the service for special events and dinner parties. This includes serving, plating, assisting the Chef and greeting guests. Understanding how to speak with the principals about the meal you have served (the ingredients, how it was prepared, etc.),

Our clients are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and jump in to assist with any crucial duties if other staff is unavailable and be able to complete other projects as assigned. They are looking for a leader and team player. Someone who has worked in a fine dining establishment, catering for high level events, Executive Housekeeper who has served meals and worked with a Chef while prepping would be the ideal candidate.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent knowledge of household table etiquette, service, and entertaining protocol.
• Housekeeping experience required. Yacht experience is OK.
• Flexible availability for scheduling.
• Occasional regional travel may be required.
• Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
• Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel.
• Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.

You must pass a full background check and have verifiable references. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience is preferred.
