DIRECTOR OF RESIDENCES – AUSTIN, TX (HYBRID WITH REGULAR TRAVEL)

Our client is seeking an accomplished Director of Residences to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of exceptional private residences throughout the United States, with limited oversight of one international property. Based in Austin and working closely with the Chief of Staff, this is a highly visible leadership role for a seasoned estate professional who understands the nuances of private service. The ideal candidate will be skilled at building and mentoring exceptional teams, developing strong House Managers, and establishing thoughtful systems and standards across multiple properties, while recognizing that each residence has its own rhythm, character, and way of operating.

This is very much a hands-on role. The Director of Residences will divide their time between the Family Office and the family’s properties, spending time on the ground with House Managers and household teams. They will help identify what is working, where additional support or training is needed, and what can be improved, while ensuring each team has the tools and leadership they need to be successful.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting HNW/UHNW families and has successfully led operations across multiple private residences. They are an exceptional people leader who knows how to manage both up and down, communicate well across different teams, and step in personally when the situation calls for it. They are collaborative, highly organized, and equally comfortable thinking about the bigger picture or helping solve an immediate issue at one of the residences
