DETAILED PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER NEEDED IN SANTA MONICA – 18 HOURS A WEEK

Our clients in Santa Monica, CA are seeking a part-time Housekeeper for their tri-level home with stairs. The right person for this job will have an eye for the fine details; cleaning ceiling fans, trim, baseboards, and when moving things off the shelf to dust that they are returned it to its place. Leaving no corner of the home untouched. Organization is very important; keeping inventory of kitchen and household items and fully stocking them. Excellent laundry skills and experience with couture wardrobes and fine fabrics, reading labels and being extremely careful with all laundry and hand washing.

The Housekeeper who would work best in this home is available for part time work, able to drive to the market and for errands. Can do a beautiful floral arrangement – pick up flowers weekly at local markets or Trader Joe’s. Someone who has their attention on replacing lightbulbs, making sure the soap dispensers and paper hand towels in the bathroom are always filled up, the toilet paper is restocked. Checking for cobwebs both indoors and outside, wiping down banisters on the three levels of stairs, cleaning outdoor furniture, plants are watered and generally scanning each room to see what is needed or out of place.

Deep cleaning projects to be done when principals (there are 2) are traveling or monthly when time allows. Sensitivity to working in a home with two work-from-home principals, and knowing how to provide “absent service”.

The clients like to entertain and there will be a need for some extra hours to help serve on occasion; it would be appreciated if the Housekeeper enjoyed assisting with entertaining and events and managed the catering crews and other vendors to ensure the residence remains in good order. Making certain vendors put back anything which might have been moved for the event. Treating the residence like it is your own home and elevating the service to a 5 star level.

There is no need for dog walking, just ensure you are careful not to leave anything lying around as the puppy (6 month old Bernadoodle) likes to eat anything and everything. Housekeeper will not leave any chemicals or cleaning supplies out so the puppy can not eat it.

The Housekeeper will need to be energetic to move quickly through the home and be able to go up and down 3 flights of stairs. Keen eye for the details, proactive, and communicative. Must have your own reliable vehicle for grocery shopping and errands.

Covid vaccinated and wear a mask while in the residence cleaning (required).

Contract Length: Part-time/Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

Schedule: Part-time, 9 AM-3 PM (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Monday, Tuesday, and Friday)

Salary: $35 per hour cash DOE, health benefits, and 2 weeks’ vacation
