DETAILED HOUSEKEEPER/HOUSE ASSISTANT FOR MILFORD, MI FAMILY
Family in Milford, MI is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/House Assistant. Housekeeper must have knowledge of cleaning, proper supplies to use on materials and surfaces, strong attention to detail, and ability to work as a team. Can support a smooth operation within the home and help with various tasks to ensure a comfortable living environment. Weekends on occasion may be required.
Housekeeper must have knowledge of how to properly clean furniture, cobwebs, polish, and deep clean bathrooms. Know how to clean floors of different types (wood, marble, etc.), experience with washing and folding laundry, all organizing, glass cleaning, and maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness of the home. Although there is no uniform, you will be wearing all black attire, (black khakis, black shirt, and clean tennis shoes/house shoes).
Housekeeping Duties and Responsibilities:
- Thorough cleaning of residence
- Eye for details, cleaning cracks, cervices, and corners
- Day to day general housekeeping support
- Wash/fold clothes, wash and change bed linens as needed
- Ability to follow verbal directions
- Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
- Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines, excellent time management skills
- Organized and follow a schedule for cleaning
- General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques
House Assistant Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain household supplies, inventory, and storage areas
- Assist with meal preparation and ordering groceries, dropping off/ picking up dry cleaning
- Handle basic administrative tasks, such as sorting mail
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality regarding the family’s personal matters
- Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently, or as a team
Qualifications:
- Must be able to accept payroll (not a cash position)
- Verifiable references (minimum of two long term employers)
- Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the US
- Must provide own transportation
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine, with the ability to stand for
- long lengths of time
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for running errands
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with household appliances
- Covid Vaccinated and up to date with current boosters
The client’s residence is a large luxury estate (9,000 sq ft). Someone who is COVID vaccinated and up to date on their boosters is preferred, due to her elderly mother moving into the home. We have Meal Prep on the job description because whoever is hired will need to make a simple breakfast and lunch for her mother on the days worked. Client is open to offering full-time, but only if they take over the role of the Elder Care of the mother as well.
Location: Milford, MI
Contract Length: Part-time/permanent
Schedule: 3-4 day a week from 9 AM-3 PM with flexibility on weekends
Salary: $30 per hour/DOE on payroll
