Amazing family looking for a savvy, highly experienced Estate Manager to spearhead all operations and upkeep of their estates. Estate Manager will be responsible for the daily operations, scheduling and management of staff.

While this role works closely with the Principal, they prefer a take charge candidate they can outsource tasks, projects and operations in efforts to free up their time. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, highly attentive, exercises good judgment, humble and poised under pressure. Qualified candidates must able to independently and with a team. This candidate must also have the ability to oversee a myriad of responsibilities and an ever-changing list of priorities.

  • Regularly meet with principal(s) to discuss plans, events, priorities, concerns and etc.
  • Act of point of contact for principals in their absence – gatekeeper between staff and principals
  • Complete oversight of estates – maintaining consistency of standards, performance, inventories and development
  • Supervise staff across multiple residences including chef, executive housekeeper, housekeepers, nanny and a personal assistant
  • Hire, train, develop and fire staff as needed
  • Manage household and service schedules across multiple residences to ensure
  • Order and maintain household supplies, and liaise with Chef for kitchen supplies
  • Prepare realistic plans to address needs and conduct regular walkthroughs of daily checklists
  • Commute to east coast property monthly to address any concerns, manage staff and service suppliers, restock inventories, manage vehicles and prepare home for principals arrival
  • Schedule and supervise all maintenance needs for all vehicles and residences
  • Liaise with principals on construction projects
  • Update estate and house manuals for residences
  • Reconcile monthly expense reports for all company card holders
  • Review, approve and pay household bills and vendor invoices for accuracy and timely payment; assessing incoming bills, questioning and negotiating charges when necessary
  • Coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure insurance coverage is current and updated
  • Organize and plan family events as needed
  • Liaise between clients and auction houses/galleries on buying and selling art or furniture
  • Maintain clients personal files
  • Conduct phone and internet research as needed
  • Run personal and/or household errands as needed
  • Must be open to taking on new responsibilities not listed here as the family’s needs are evolving and will change from time to time
